National Plant Health Surveillance Program

EPSDD received funding of $27,000 in 2017-18 for the delivery of the 2018-19 National Plant Health Surveillance Program. The purpose of the grant is to enable detection of exotic pest species that may enter and establish themselves in the ACT.

EPSDD has expended $21,000 of this funding to date.

To report to the Commonwealth regarding the status of exotic pest species in the ACT.

Justice and Community Safety Directorate

National Partnership on Provision of Fire Services

The Commonwealth provided:

• $5.114 million in 2015-16;

• $5.293 million in 2016-17; and

• $4.982 million in 2017-18.

This was fully expended.

National Bushfire Mitigation Programme

The Commonwealth provided:

• $300,000 in 2015-16 and

• $604,000 in 2016-17.

This was fully expended.

Acquittals provided to the Commonwealth Attorney General’s Department.

Countering Violent Extremism Steering Committee – Community Engagement Project

The Commonwealth provided funding of $45,000 in 2017-18. This funding was fully expended.

The program required a work plan with deliverables, and a Community Engagement Report.

Living Safe Together Intervention Program – Australian Capital Territory 2016 18

The Commonwealth provided funding of:

• $179,000 in 2016-17; and

• $180,000 in 2017-18.

This funding was fully expended.

This program required forward works plans, funding agreements, quarterly reporting and financial acquittal declarations.

Australia-New Zealand Counter-Terrorism Committee Drill Style Exercise Program

The Commonwealth provided funding of:

• $90,000 in 2015-16; and

• $160,000 per annum in 2016-17 and 2017-18.

This funding was fully expended.

This program required final acquittals being provided to the Commonwealth.

National Partnership Agreement on Natural Disaster Resilience

The Commonwealth funding under this agreement comprised:

• $1.406 million in 2015-16;

• $1.595 million in 2016-17; and

• $1.441 million in 2017-18.

Expenditure on this program was:

• $992,000 in 2015-16;

• $1.147 million in 2016-17; and

• $2.238 million in 2017-18.

The difference between funding and expenditure is due to the timing of Commonwealth payments.

Note: This funding/expenditure is inclusive of the amounts reported by EPSDD for this agreement further above in the table.

The Commonwealth required a Milestone Report and Financial Acquittal for this agreement.
