Boarding House Study | Stage 1 | Small costs absorbed | Models of Supportive Housing Consult with the major accommodation and support providers of boarding houses, hostels and semi-supported and supported accommodation in the ACT including Havelock Housing Association, Centacare, Society of St Vincent de Paul, and relevant SAAP funded agencies. Consult with relevant ACT service purchasers including ACT SAAP Unit and Mental Health and Disability. Investigate opportunities presented by available sites and buildings in the ACT and consider current planning and lease purpose regulations; Review relevant literature on boarding house and alternative accommodation options and review recent ACT needs and analysis reports; Investigate current boarding house associated accommodation programs elsewhere in Australia; and Investigate appropriate design and management models for the ACT including support and financial aspects and propose a relevant model/s for consideration in the ACT. |
