MEDICAL BOARD OF THE A.C.T.

2. Terms of Reference

To administer the Medical Practitioners Registration Act 1930. Principal functions include:

• registration of qualified persons to practice in the ACT;

• disciplining of medical practitioners, through reprimand/suspension/cancellation of

registration after due inquiry, on specified grounds;

• consideration of complaints against fees charged by registered medical practitioners;

and

• general oversight of the conduct of the medical profession in the ACT.
