MR QUINLAN (continuing):
I am still hoping that the Variety Club will get some kudos out of this and that my little group will get credit for some of the money raised. However, the object is to have whatever funds are raised out of this-I am referring to the charitable slice, because I am sure Mr Markson is getting a slice as well-flow back immediately into the territory. There has been no negotiation, in any way, about a fee flowing from government-or from the Variety Club, for that matter-to Mr Markson.
O'Connell Centre

: In question time yesterday, Ms Tucker asked me a question about the tenants of the O'Connell Education Centre-who they are and why they are being asked to leave. The answer is that the building is occupied solely by Ms Gallagher's department-the Department of Education, Youth and Family Services. No tenants exist-other than the department. The department has indicated that, within the next 12 months, it will be relocating to the new centre for teaching and learning at the Stirling campus of the Canberra College.Auditor-General's report No 8
