(3) To remove any doubt, the statement of planning intent does not authorise a person to whom the Land (Planning and Environment Act 1991, section 8 (Effect of plan) applies to do anything inconsistent with the plan.
Example
The statement of planning intent may include policy material inconsistent with the Territory plan, but the plan would have to be amended before the policy could be implemented.Note An example is part of the Act, is not exhaustive and may extend, but does not limit, the meaning of the provision in which it appears (see Legislation Act, s 126 and s 132).
