As I said earlier, during my visits to the bushfire operations centre at Curtin I was most impressed by the scale of activity and the cooperation between all involved. I was also kept fully briefed during the emergency, and when the critical period had passed I was provided with an aerial overview of the extent of the fires. It was no small area affected; it was quite a large event.
