Reports received by police during the period 1 December 1992 to 31 January 1993 disclosed 46 alleged burglary offences at ACT schools.

(2) The value of property damaged as a result of offences committed at ACT schools,

including the alleged burglaries, was estimated by police at $31,965.00. However,

I would stress that this figure is based on police estimates, generally made at the

commencement of inquiries. Consequently, the actual value of property damage,

and figures maintained elsewhere, may differ from these police estimates.
